In Spring 2 we are learning ...

In Writing, we will be writing a character description of Kensuke from Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. We will then be moving onto writing explanation texts, detailing the chocolate making process from bean to bar.

In Oracy, we will be continuing to develop our skills within our focussed activities and check in circles. 

In Maths, we will be starting the half term learning about Fractions. We will then be focusing on Decimal numbers.

In RE, we will be looking at Salvation and why Christians still remember Holy Week.

In Geography, we will be learning about Biomes and why they are important.

In Science, we will be learning about how States of Matter. We will be grouping materials according to whether they are solids, liquids or gases and recognising that materials change state when their temperature changes.

In Art, we will be creating repeated patterns, inspired by nature, to design fabrics. 

In PSHE, we will be learning how to deal with feelings.

In PE, we will be learning to skip, developing confidence in a range of jumps in preparation for our Skipping Gala. We will also be completing our last half term of swimming sessions.

In Computing, we will be learning how to use the internet for sending emails, using Google to research facts and finding out how to stay safe on the internet.

In French, we will be learning how to pronounce the sound 'in', learning the quantifiers 'assez' and 'tres' and the prepositions 'sur and 'dans'. We will then use these to describe animals.

In Music, we will be learning how we can connect feelings, emotions and music.
