In Writing, we will write a non-chronological report about the fascinating but deadly (to other spiders) Portia Spider. We will follow this with the opportunity to think about performance poetry. How can we use our bodies and voices to perform a piece of poetry to engage our audience?
In Maths, we will look at unit fractions, non-unit fractions and equivalent fractions. We will then move on to mass and capacity, learning how to read scales and convert units.
In RE we will be looking at Salvation and asking the question 'Why do Christians call the day Jesus died Good Friday?'.
In French we will be looking at colours and consolidating our previous learning.
In HIstory we will be looking at Ancient Egypt; the rise of the New Kingdom, the importance of Pharaohs and the afterlife; the many gods and goddess and the gifts of the Nile. We will conclude by writing about what we think was the most important aspect of Ancient Egyptian civilisation.
In PSHE, our Physical Health and Wellbeing unit will ask 'what helps me choose?'. We will look at how we can make healthy snack choices in order to make sure our bodies and minds are working at their very best.
In PE we will be working on our tag rugby skills with Oli. We will also start working on our athletics skills starting with throwing and jumping.
In Art, we will look at Ancient Egyptian art and use this as an inspiration to create a contemporary piece of art.
